Integrity repair wizard
Repairing a single finding is appropriate for a single problem. When a run returns many findings of the same nature, a directional decision is required, and that is the purpose of the wizard.
The wizard walks the open findings group by group: each group receives a decision about which side is the truth, the products the change will touch are reviewed, and only then is anything written.
Starting it
Section titled “Starting it”Two routes, differing in scope:
- Stockly → Warehouses → Stock integrity → run → Affected products → the Repair wizard button. The wizard covers all the open findings of that run.
- On the findings list (Findings) — select rows and use Repair 5 selected finding(s) with the wizard. The wizard covers exactly that selection.
The steps
Section titled “The steps”The bar at the top shows Overview, Stock figure, Settled orders, Manual work, Review, Apply. A decision step only appears when the run has findings of that kind.
Overview
Section titled “Overview”A summary of what the run found and a statement of the rule: decisions first, then the review, and the write last.
It also lists the groups the wizard cannot decide — named so that nothing is overlooked, even though resolving them is manual work.
If nothing in the selection can be decided by the wizard, it reports this and leads back to the findings list.
Stock figure — when the published figure drifts from the shelf
Section titled “Stock figure — when the published figure drifts from the shelf”The situation: product.stock does not match what the shelves add up to. Something outside the module
has written its own numbers. The options:
- Stockly (the shelf) is the truth — the published figure is rewritten from the shelf-derived value (the Expected column). The externally written values are overwritten and the new figure propagates to caches and connected channels.
- product.stock (external) is the truth — the shelf is corrected by the difference with
correctionmovements (a full audit trail), drawn largest-bin-first and never below zero. The published figure then equals the external value. - Skip this group — nothing changes; the findings stay open.
Settled orders — orders completed without demand
Section titled “Settled orders — orders completed without demand”The situation: orders were completed without ever declaring demand in the module, so the shipped goods may still count as sellable shelf stock, which is phantom stock and an oversell risk. The options:
- The goods really left — book the outflow — the missing demand is settled retroactively and the
quantities are booked off the shelf (largest bin first,
correctionmovements). The published figure drops accordingly. - The goods are still on the shelf — the demand is settled as released; nothing moves and no number changes. If the goods are in fact missing, the next stocktake will show it.
- Skip this group — nothing changes.
Per-product decisions
Section titled “Per-product decisions”Every decision step shows an Affected products (largest drift first) table, in which the products are ordered by the size of the drift. By default each follows the group decision (As group), and the Decision for this product column allows a different answer for an individual product.
Below the table the wizard states how many products are not shown, all of which follow the group decision.
Manual work
Section titled “Manual work”The groups the system must not guess: locations, batches, placements. The wizard leaves them open and the button leads straight to the findings list, where they are resolved by hand — with a stocktake, a batch entry or a placement.
Review — before anything is written
Section titled “Review — before anything is written”A list of every product the change will touch: Product, Check, Action, Stock before → after, Shelf operations. Any row can be unticked — nothing outside this list is touched.
Rows that cannot be carried out are named outright and skipped: Not enough free stock, Spans several warehouses, No target bin, Needs manual resolution.
The wizard also reports how many selected findings dropped out because they are already closed or belong to another run.
If the current state no longer reproduces any of the decided findings, the step reports that there is nothing to apply.
The repair runs product by product, and each one is re-verified against the reviewed plan first. If its state changed in the meantime it is skipped — never booked on stale numbers.
The run can be stopped with Stop after the current product.
Per-product outcomes:
| Outcome | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Repaired | repaired |
| Resolved without movement | settled with no goods moving |
| Partially repaired | repaired in part |
| Skipped — state changed | the state changed since the review |
| Skipped — not enough stock | not enough free stock |
| Nothing to do | there was nothing to repair |
| Error | an error |
Wizard or single repair
Section titled “Wizard or single repair”- The wizard — many findings of the same nature needing one decision about which side is right.
- Repair this product / Repair selected on the findings list — individual cases that require no decision. → Integrity checks
- A stocktake — when the problem is not inconsistent data but a difference against the shelf. → Stocktakes
Privileges
Section titled “Privileges”The wizard books stock movements and closes findings, so it requires the Repair stock integrity findings privilege (and Move stock for the stock operations). → Privileges
