Threshold runs
A plan says when thresholds are recalculated; a run is one actual pass over the catalogue. This screen is the history of those passes, and the way into what any one of them proposed.
Stockly → Purchasing → Stock Thresholds → Threshold runs.
The list
Section titled “The list”Columns: Started, Plan, State, Started by, Products, To decide, Written, Took.
- Plan — the plan behind the pass. A pass started outside any plan shows Ad-hoc run.
- State — Running, Completed or Failed.
- Started by — Schedule (the plan’s own cadence), By hand or Console.
- Products — how many products the pass looked at.
- To decide — how many of its proposals are still waiting for somebody.
- Written — how many thresholds it wrote by itself.
- Took — how long the pass ran, in seconds.
Products counts what was examined, Written what was changed, and the two differ on purpose: a plan in a limited mode writes only what it is sure about and holds the rest back.
The To decide and Written figures are read live rather than taken from the run’s own record. When they cannot be read, the columns show a dash: an unknown value is a better answer than a stale number presented as current.
Current and out of date
Section titled “Current and out of date”A completed run that nothing newer has replaced is marked Current. Once a later pass covers the same ground, the older one becomes Out of date.
This matters for a practical reason: only the proposals of a current run may still be applied. An out-of-date run is history: it records what the module computed last week, on the sales figures of last week, and applying that today would write a number nothing supports any more.
Getting to the proposals
Section titled “Getting to the proposals”Open the proposals opens that run’s proposals. It is the same screen as Thresholds to decide, narrowed to one pass, and the way back leads to the runs list, because a proposal is read as the content of the run it came from.
Deleting a run
Section titled “Deleting a run”A run can be deleted. The confirmation says what goes with it: its proposals disappear, while the thresholds it already wrote stay. Deleting the history does not undo the work.
