Drill Down

The other reports answer questions about a set of products. This one answers questions about one product, and it is the right place when the question is what happened to specific goods.

Stockly → Dashboard → Drill Down. A product is selected with the search and confirmed with Show report.

Stock, Available, Stock Value, Days of Stock.

Revenue & Quantity Over Time — revenue and units sold over time, with a comparison against the previous period. One chart shows whether a revenue drop comes from fewer sales or from a price change.

  • Stock Replenishment Pattern — when and how much stock was added. Irregular replenishment is a frequent cause of “strange” shortages.
  • Days of Supply Trend — how many days of cover the product had over time, banded into Critical (<7d), Low (7-30d) and Healthy (30d+).
  • Stock & Price History — stock and price on one chart; the simplest way to check whether a discount actually moved sales.

Stock and price history come from daily snapshots. Until they accumulate, the historical charts stay empty; the current figures are available immediately.

  • A customer asks why goods ran out despite an order with the supplier.
  • A reorder suggestion appears implausible and the basis for it has to be checked.
  • Sales dropped and it has to be established whether the cause is stock or demand.
