How it looks in the shop
What the customer sees is configured under Stockly → Settings → Back In Stock, separately for each sales channel.
Switching it on
Section titled “Switching it on”Enable Back In Stock Notifications activates the mechanism. Without it the form does not appear in the shop, even if subscriptions exist in the database.
Minimum Stock Threshold sets how many units have to appear before a notification goes out. A value above 1 prevents a notification being sent to ten people when a single unit came back.
The subscription form
Section titled “The subscription form”Subscription Form Display decides how the form opens on the product page:
- Modal — a window in the centre,
- Off-canvas — a panel sliding in from the side; Off-canvas Position chooses which side.
The variant configurator
Section titled “The variant configurator”Show envelope on unavailable variants marks unavailable variant options with an envelope that opens the subscription form. What the click does is set by Envelope Click Behaviour.
A customer therefore does not have to guess that this particular size will return; the subscription can be placed straight from the configurator.
Marking variants running low
Section titled “Marking variants running low”Highlight variants with only a few items left highlights variants with few units left. Low Stock Threshold sets the threshold and Marker Colour the colour.
This is a nudge to buy rather than a notification: it applies to goods that are there, not to the ones that are missing.
Confirming the address
Section titled “Confirming the address”Require e-mail confirmation (double opt-in) makes a visitor who is not logged in confirm their address through a link before any notification is sent.
Logged-in customers are exempt, because their address was verified at registration.
