Collecting

The picking screen presents one instruction at a time: which location to go to and what to take there.

Getting a wave

Three ways in, and they end on the same screen:

• Quick pick — the button on the idle screen asks the planner for the next wave for this warehouse. Where there is nothing to hand out, the app states the reason: Every waiting order is bigger than the wave ceiling. Raise it, or pick one by hand., The cart is full. Finish what is on it first., Nothing waiting has stock to pick from. and so on.
• Scanning a document — with no wave open, scanning an order code opens the work for that order.
• Being sent work — a wave planned for this person appears as There is work for you with Take it and Not now.

The shelf card

The card at the top is the largest element on the screen, because on the way to the shelf it is the only information needed:

• Go to and the bin code, read at arm’s length;
• Take and how many are still owed on this line;
• cart and the slot on the trolley, when the wave is being collected onto one.

Under it: the article, its picture and its barcode. Tapping the picture opens it full-screen.

Taking

Three methods, all resulting in the same count:

• Scan the article. One piece per scan, never the whole line, so a line of three requires three scans and the count on screen matches the quantity in hand.
• Pull the card right (take). On a line of one this completes it; on a line of several it opens the counting screen.
• All of them on the counting screen, when the operator has the whole quantity in hand and counting the pieces individually adds no information.

A code that is not on this wave says That code is not on this wave. A line already finished says That one is already done.

Counting a line of several

The counting screen is the article, the number, and two keys. Holding + or − repeats. The bin code sits in the header as a badge, so the shelf being counted is never in doubt.

It opens by itself whenever a count starts, including one started by pulling a row right while the map, shelf or trolley picture is filling the screen, so the count is always shown on the screen currently in view.

When there are fewer on the shelf

Fewer on the shelf in the menu opens the shortage screen. It asks How many did you find?, because a line is closed by a quantity and not by a flag: reporting that one of three units was present allows the remaining two to be planned, while a general failure report does not.

Then Why, as tiles rather than a text box:

Bin empty, Fewer than needed, Wrong article on the shelf, Damaged, Can’t reach.

The pieces that were there stay on the line. Report what you found sends it and the wave carries on.

The three pictures

Chips above the list open a picture of what the card describes, each filling the screen:

• Map — the hall, the racks, the bin being walked to and the route to it. The route drawn is the one the picker walks, in the shop’s own order.
• Shelf — the rack seen from the front, drawn exactly as the administration draws it, with the bin of this pick marked and the whole rack in view.
• Trolley — the cart and the slot this line goes into.

Back to the shelf returns. A line with nothing to draw says Nothing to draw for this line.

The list under the card

Everything else on the wave, in the order it will be walked. Group the list offers No groups, By floor and A–Z. Finished lines are struck through and moved to the bottom, so the next task remains at the top.

Rows can be taken and undone with a swipe, exactly like the card.

Finishing

When the last line is settled, the card is replaced by Everything on this wave is collected. and the list remains, so the operator can review what was taken or return one line. Go to packing then moves the wave on.
