Stock Overview
The opening report: the whole warehouse in four figures and a handful of charts.
Stockly → Dashboard → Stock Overview.
Figures
Section titled “Figures”- Products in Stock — how many products hold any stock.
- Total Stock Units — the total number of units.
- Out of Stock — how many products are at zero.
- Stock Value — stock value at purchase price.
Charts and tables
Section titled “Charts and tables”- Stock Value Trend — how stock value changes over time.
- Low Stock Alerts — products below their threshold.
- Top Stocked by Value — where the largest sums are frozen.
- Stock by Manufacturer — stock split by manufacturer.
- Stock Distribution — products by band: Out of Stock, Low, Medium, Good, High.
Table columns: Product, Product number, Stock, Available, Purchase Price, Stock Value, Manufacturer, Change.
Separating Stock from Available matters: the first figure is the shelf, the second is goods not yet promised to anybody.
Comparison with the past
Section titled “Comparison with the past”The Change column and the trend chart compare the current state with the previous period.
Acting on the report
Section titled “Acting on the report”- Rising stock value against flat sales is a cue for the overstock report.
- A large share of Out of Stock is usually a matter of thresholds. → Min/max thresholds
