Depletion Risk
Low stock and fast depletion are not the same thing. A product with two units that sells once a quarter is not a problem; a product with a hundred units selling thirty a day is. This report looks at pace.
Stockly → Dashboard → Depletion Risk.
Figures
Section titled “Figures”- Products at Risk — how many products are at risk.
- Critical (<7 days) — how many run out within a week.
- Avg. Days of Stock — the average days of cover.
- At-Risk Revenue — the revenue exposed to depletion.
Risk distribution
Section titled “Risk distribution”Risk Distribution splits products into Critical (<7d), Warning (7–14d), Moderate (14–30d) and Safe (30d+).
The Shortest Time to Depletion chart shows the products with the fewest days of stock left.
Four lists
Section titled “Four lists”A switch narrows the table to a specific question:
- All Products — everything,
- Urgent Reorder — to be ordered immediately,
- Out of Stock with Demand — already at zero with sales behind it; the most expensive group,
- High Velocity — the fastest movers.
Columns: Product, Product number, Stock, Sales/Day, Days Left, Revenue, Est. Lost Revenue, Est. Lost (30d), Manufacturer.
Biggest declines
Section titled “Biggest declines”The Biggest Stock Decline section lines up Start Stock, Current Stock and Drop, showing where stock is falling fastest, including where it has not yet approached a threshold.
Acting on the report
Section titled “Acting on the report”The Out of Stock with Demand list translates directly into lost revenue, so reordering starts there. → Reorder suggestions
If the goods sit in another building, moving them is faster than ordering them. → Replenishment suggestions
