Warehouses — list and card
A warehouse is a building or a separate space with its own stock: a hall, a retail floor, a pickup point, a rack at a subcontractor. A product can sit in several at once, and the shop sells from those that serve the sales channel in question.
The list
Section titled “The list”Stockly → Warehouses. The list shows Name, Code, Priority and Active, with a search above it filtering on the same fields.
Priority decides the order in which the module reaches for warehouses when fulfilling an order, and a lower number means earlier. Active removes a warehouse from use without deleting its data.
Adding a warehouse
Section titled “Adding a warehouse”The Add warehouse button. A name and a unique code are required; the rest can be filled in later on the General tab → Warehouse settings.
Deleting a warehouse
Section titled “Deleting a warehouse”An empty warehouse is deleted immediately. A warehouse holding stock is not deleted without a prompt: the module opens Transfer stock before deleting and asks for a target warehouse in Transfer stock to. Transfer & Delete moves all the stock first and only then deletes the building. The transfer stays in the movement history with a comment naming the deleted warehouse.
The warehouse card
Section titled “The warehouse card”Clicking a row opens a card with tabs: Overview, Operations, General, Bin Locations, Floor Plan, Stock, Backorders, Storage Rules, Transport lanes, Elements.
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Stockly → Warehouses → warehouse → Overview is the building’s dashboard. Warehouse information collects the basics (name, code, priority, storage strategy, assigned channels), the floor map sits next to it, and below it Operations in progress lists the work happening at that moment: who, at which station, how many lines picked or packed, and how long ago the last activity was.
This tab also carries four actions that exist nowhere else:
- Assign stock to bins — spreads unassigned stock across bin locations.
- Map locations to bins — assigns stock to locations based on a code in a product field. → Location mapping
- Relocation suggestions — proposals for moving goods within the building.
- Initialize from products — copies current product stock into this warehouse. Products that already have stock here are skipped.
