Subscriptions

A subscription is one expectation: this person is waiting for this product. The list of subscriptions is measured demand for goods that are not in stock.

Stockly → Back in Stock → Subscriptions.

Columns: Subscriber, Subscriber type, Product name, Status, Clicked at, Sales channel, Created at. Filters: status and sales channel.

Clicked at shows Not clicked until somebody opens the message. That is the effectiveness measure: notifications that brought nobody back carry information about the wording or the timing.

  1. It is created when a customer subscribes in the shop, or by hand from the admin.
  2. It waits while the product is unavailable.
  3. It is served once the goods return and the notification goes out.
  4. A click in the message updates Clicked at.
  • Reordering priority. A product with a dozen expectations is more urgent than one with a single expectation, whatever the threshold says.
  • Deciding to drop a product. No subscriptions against permanent unavailability is an argument for not ordering it again.
  • Checking the message. High send volume with low click-through indicates that the problem is the wording, not the goods.
