Image conversion
Image conversion re-encodes images to a single target format (WebP or JPEG) at a quality you choose. It runs automatically for the sources you enable, so the media that lands in your library is already optimised — no manual export step.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”Whenever an image arrives from one of the enabled sources, the plugin converts it to the target format before it is stored:
- Edit images with AI — the result of an Edit image run.
- Image Finder — a picture accepted from Image Finder.
- Image upload (new media) — any new file uploaded to the media library.
Conversion is off for every source until you enable it, so nothing changes until you opt in.
Configuration
Section titled “Configuration”Set it up under Settings → Options → Image conversion:
- Auto-convert images from — tick the sources to convert (AI edits, Image Finder, new uploads). Leave a source unticked to keep its images untouched.
- Target format — WebP (smaller, default) or JPEG.
- Quality (1–100) — the output quality, 80 by default. Lower means smaller files but more visible artefacts.
