Extract properties
Extract Properties turns prose into structured property data. The AI reads the product description and proposes assignments against your existing Shopware property groups, or suggests entirely new groups and options when nothing in your catalogue fits. Every suggestion is accompanied by the source text fragment that triggered it, so you can review it without guessing.
How to use
Section titled “How to use”- Open a product → Properties panel.
- Click the AI assistant button in the panel header. A modal titled AI assistant — Properties opens with these options:
- Profile — pick a saved inline profile (optional)
- AI connection — the model that will run the request
- Read properties from — choose which fields and related data the AI reads. The description is used by default; you can add the name and related data such as categories, category path, tags, manufacturer and existing properties.
- Limit to property groups — restrict matching to selected groups; leave empty to consider all groups (optional)
- Value strategy — how freely the AI may add new option values versus reusing the existing catalogue:
- Match existing and freely propose new values (default)
- Prefer existing, propose new only if none fits
- Existing values only (skip if none fits)
- Existing values only (force closest match)
- Custom instructions — free-text hints (optional), e.g. “Always treat ‘Cotton’, ‘Linen’ and ‘Wool’ as values of the Material group”
- Click Analyze. The modal splits the results into two sections:
- Matched existing properties — proposed assignments to property groups you already have. Pre-ticked by default; uncheck to skip.
- Would create new properties — property groups or options that don’t exist yet. Pre-unticked by default; tick the ones you actually want to create.
- Use Show sources (or the source-quote badge on any row) to see the exact text fragment that triggered each suggestion, with the matching phrase highlighted in the description.
- Click Apply to form — selected matches are added to the product, selected new groups are created in your property catalogue.
If the product has variants, turn on Apply to variants to run the analysis across the selected variants as a background job and review the result per variant. Auto-apply matched properties writes matched existing properties automatically during that background run; new property proposals always wait for your review. See Working with variants.
Configuration
Section titled “Configuration”- Confidence threshold — by default everything is shown. If you want to hide low-confidence suggestions, sort by confidence and uncheck the low rows.
- Custom instructions — pass extra context the model should respect, e.g. “Always treat ‘Cotton’, ‘Linen’ and ‘Wool’ as values of the Material group”.
