Inline profiles

An inline profile is a saved configuration for an inline editor task. Once you’ve found a combination of preset, custom instructions, languages and format spec that works well, you can save it as a profile and reopen the inline modal pre-filled — no retyping needed.

Profiles can be saved for the AI assistant tasks that open a configurable modal, including Improve, Translate, Unify formatting, Generate content, Generate from URL, Generate SEO, Suggest categories, Suggest search keywords, Extract measures, Extract properties, Field Mapping AI, Image Finder and Edit images with AI. Each profile belongs to one task type and stores that task’s own settings.

The text tasks store these fields:

  • Improve — preset, target languages, custom instructions
  • Translate — source language, target languages, skip-if-filled flag, custom instructions
  • Unify formatting — format spec, target languages, custom instructions
  • Generate from URL — URL mapping, target languages, custom instructions
  • Generate content — source mode (model knowledge / web search / URL fetch), target fields, target languages, custom instructions

The other tasks store the options shown in their own modal — for example a Suggest categories profile keeps the source fields, source mode and scope rules, and an Edit images with AI profile keeps the preset and apply strategy.

A profile is tied to its task type but not to where you opened it: the same Improve profile is available wherever Improve runs — the inline editor, a product card, or the bulk job wizard.

  1. In any inline modal, configure your settings.
  2. Click Save as profile.
  3. Give it a name.
  4. Pick a scope:
    • My default — applied automatically for this admin user, this task type.
    • Global default — applied for all admins for this task type, unless they have their own My default.
    • Neither — saved but not auto-applied; you load it manually.

The inline modal has a profile selector at the top. Pick a profile and the modal fields are populated. You can edit them before running — the profile is a starting point, not a lock.

Manage all profiles from AI Assistant → Inline profiles. The page lists every profile with task type, default flags, last update, and per-row Edit / Delete / Set default actions.
