Settings
The AI Settings page holds the shop-wide options for the plugin. Open it from Catalogues → AI Assistant → Settings (it is also listed under Settings → Plugins → AI Assistant). Each tab is described below. The AI Connections tab has its own page — see Connections.
Remember to click Save after changing any tab.
Processing
Section titled “Processing”Controls how background jobs run and when results are accepted automatically.
- Batch Size — how many items the plugin sends to the AI per batch. Each item is one API call.
- Auto-Accept Confidence Threshold — suggestions the AI is more confident about than this value are pre-selected in the review grid, so you can accept a whole batch faster.
- SEO meta text limits — Meta Title Max Length / Meta Description Max Length, the character limits the AI aims for when writing SEO metadata.
- Job cleanup — Automatically delete old jobs and the Job retention period (days) after which finished jobs are removed.
- Automation run cleanup — Automatically delete old automation runs and the Run retention period (days) after which run history is removed.
- Variant timing — Delay before processing new main products (minutes). When a product and its variants are saved together, the main product waits this long so its variants can be gathered into the same run.
- Category suggestions — scope handling — How to handle multiple category scopes when a category job has more than one scope rule. See Suggest categories.
URL Fetcher
Section titled “URL Fetcher”Network limits for fetching external pages (used by Generate content, the inline Generate from URL action, and the AI analysis step in Fetch domain configs). The URL Fetcher limits card covers:
- Max response size (MB) — upper bound on how much of a page is kept in memory per fetch.
- Raw body for AI (KB) — how much page content is sent to the AI when it analyses a page and proposes a selector. Higher means better quality but a higher token cost.
- HTTP timeout (seconds) — how long to wait for the target site before giving up.
- Max redirects — how many redirects the fetcher follows per request.
- User-Agent header — the browser identity sent with each request. Some sites block non-browser requests, so a browser User-Agent avoids that.
The Proxy card lets you route all fetches through an optional HTTP(S) proxy URL (leave empty for a direct connection).
Options
Section titled “Options”Defaults for the image and chat features, grouped into cards:
- Edit images with AI — what happens when you edit several images at once, whether new pins are auto-described, which product data is sent to the AI, what is auto-generated when an edited image is applied (alt text, title, tags), and which factors decide whether a previously generated image can be reused.
- Image Finder — the search engine and default search instructions, accepted file types, minimum/maximum image dimensions and file size, the default number of suggestions, and what is auto-generated for each accepted image.
- Image conversion — which sources to auto-convert images from (AI edits, Image Finder, new uploads), the target format (WebP or JPEG), and the output quality.
- Folder organization — how the Media Organizer sorts images into sub-folders, with up to two levels (e.g. by product or manufacturer initial, or AI semantic category).
- Chat — the default source mode (model knowledge only or web search) and the default web search depth for the chat-based refinement features.
- Media Organizer — auto-index new uploads — whether newly uploaded library images are analysed automatically, what is generated (title, description, tags, dominant colour, file name), and whether results are applied without review.
External service keys and logging.
- Tavily Search API — the API key that powers the Image Finder. Paste your key, click Test API key to verify it, then Save.
- Communication logging — choose which services are written to the API logs under Save communication logs for (AI, Tavily — clear both to stop logging), and how many days entries are kept under Keep logs for (days). Older entries are removed automatically by the daily cleanup.
Suggestions
Section titled “Suggestions”Defaults for the assistants that propose field values on the product page.
- Automatic field suggestions — Auto-suggest manufacturer from product name offers a manufacturer as you edit a product’s name. See Suggest manufacturer.
- Suggest categories — the default Number of categories to suggest, whether to Also assign parent categories, and the Minimum parent category level to assign from. See Suggest categories.
