Options
The Filter Bar works out of the box; its behaviour is tuned under:
Settings → Extensions → Filter Bar
Change what you like and click Save. The settings below apply to every listing.
Filter bar
Section titled “Filter bar”Apply mode
Section titled “Apply mode”How completed conditions apply:
- Instantly after each condition (default) — the list narrows as soon as each condition is finished.
- On Enter or search click — conditions wait until you press Enter or click the search button, then apply together.
See Applying conditions.
Autocomplete for text fields
Section titled “Autocomplete for text fields”On by default. While you type a value into a text field, the bar suggests existing values from your data. Turn it off if you prefer a plain text box with no suggestions.
Product list inheritance elements
Section titled “Product list inheritance elements”Controls the product-list extras (see Product list):
- Inheritance switch and variant indicator (default) — both the Show variants switch and the variant row indicator.
- Inheritance switch only — just the switch.
- Variant indicator only — just the indicator.
- None — neither. Use this if another plugin already provides variant handling on the product list.
Skip the condition step
Section titled “Skip the condition step”Off by default. When on, choosing a field jumps straight to entering a value, using the default operator for that field’s type. Turn it on if you almost always want the default operator and would rather not confirm the operator step each time. (The operator step is skipped automatically anyway for fields that have only one sensible operator.)
Reverse relations in the field list
Section titled “Reverse relations in the field list”Off by default. When on, the field list also offers relations that point back to the current record from other records. This widens what you can filter by, at the cost of a longer field list. Leave it off unless you need it.
Extension relations in the field list
Section titled “Extension relations in the field list”Off by default. When on, the field list includes fields added by other plugins’ extensions. Turn it on if you need to filter by a field another extension contributes.
Default operators
Section titled “Default operators”These decide which operator a field starts on when you pick it — you can always change the operator afterwards. One setting per field type:
- Text fields — Contains (default), Is, or Is any of.
- Number fields — Between (default), Is, At least, or At most.
- Date fields — Between (default), At least, or At most.
- Relation fields — Is (default), or Is any of.
Set these to match how you usually search. If you mostly look up exact product numbers, for instance, setting text fields to Is saves a step every time.
