Per sales channel configuration
Mediaverse follows the standard Shopware configuration inheritance — settings configured globally apply to every sales channel unless that channel overrides them. This lets you run different policies on different storefronts from one Shopware instance.
How inheritance works
Section titled “How inheritance works”- Global values are stored at the system level. They apply by default to every sales channel.
- A sales channel can override any setting individually. Other settings continue to inherit from global.
- To check or change a value, use the sales channel switcher at the top of any Mediaverse settings page.
When a setting is overridden, Shopware shows a small “overridden” indicator next to the field.
What can be overridden
Section titled “What can be overridden”Practically everything in the module:
- Video display rules
- Embed source defaults
- Local HTML5 defaults
- Carousel & Slider, Hotspots, Panorama, Model Viewer configuration
- Cookie consent behaviour
The Mediaverse subscription itself is shop-wide, not per channel — you cannot have PLUS on one channel and Base on another.
Resetting an override
Section titled “Resetting an override”To remove an override and fall back to the global value:
- Switch to the sales channel in the picker.
- Open the setting.
- Click the small “reset to default” / “inherit” affordance next to the field (the indicator Shopware shows when a value is overridden).
