Settings reference

This page summarises every setting available in Settings → Plugins → Mediaverse. Use it as a quick reference when configuring or auditing a store.

Video (global)

Setting	Default	What it does
Background image display mode	`contain`	How the video poster fills its slot in the gallery: `contain` (letterbox) or `cover` (crop).
Stop gallery slider rebuild	on	Compatibility flag for themes that rebuild the gallery on every change. Off only if your theme does not work with the default.
Container selector to add play icon	—	CSS selector for the wrapper element where the play icon overlay is injected. Override only if your theme uses custom markup.
Display in product listings	all sources	Which embed sources are allowed to autoplay as cover videos in product listings.
Lazy load in listing	on	Lazy-load video iframes / `<video>` elements in category and search grids.
Lazy load in CMS	on	Lazy-load videos inside Shopping Experiences.
Do not require cookies accept	off	When off (default), embeds for third-party sources show a GDPR consent overlay until the customer accepts cookies.
Hide videos without translation	off	Hide a video from customers in a language that has no translation entry for it.
Disable VideoJS	off	Skip the Video.js wrapper for HTML5 videos (uses native `<video>` only).

Embed Video → General

Load iframe immediately per page type (product detail, listing, CMS) — multi-select of sources for which the iframe is loaded eagerly instead of waiting for the user to click play.

Embed Video → YouTube

YouTube nocookie — use youtube-nocookie.com
Poster on pause, Delay first play, Seeking behaviour (blur / blackBackground / nothing)
Default per-video flags: autoplay, muted, loop, controls, play inline, keyboard
Theme — one of eight YouTube player themes

Embed Video → Vimeo

Default playback flags
Advanced privacy mode, Creator, Title, Portrait, controls colour

Embed Video → Facebook / TikTok / Dailymotion / G-Core

Default playback flags (autoplay, muted, loop, controls, playsinline)

Local Video

The Local Video section has tabs Product Details Page / Cover / Product Listings / Shopping Experiences, each exposing:

Per-theme controls (Progress bar, Play button, Volume control, Fullscreen button, Timestamp, Music info, Description, Native context menu) toggle which parts of the player UI are visible.

Hotspots (PRO)

Tabs: Default, Product Details Page, Shopping Experiences. Each exposes:

Animation — none / ripple / splash / glow / pulse
Min size — px / em / rem
Theme — default / dark / light
Icon, Tooltip, Tooltip Theme sub-sections

Carousel & Slider (PRO)

Tabs: Default. Component sub-tabs General, Control, UI, Layout:

Type — fade / loop / slide
Effect — none / cloud / fiber / radial / wave
Direction — ltr / rtl
Autoplay, speed, gap, drag, swipe sensitivity, navigation, padding

360° Panorama (PLUS)

Tabs: Default, Product Details Page, Cover / Product Listing, Shopping Experiences. Component sub-tabs General, Control, Camera, Projection, Control Bar:

Per sales channel

All settings above can be overridden per sales channel using the sales-channel switcher at the top of any settings page. Global defaults apply unless a channel overrides them.
