YouTube player themes
Mediaverse ships with eight YouTube player themes that change the player’s UI chrome — buttons, colours, overlay text. Themes only affect YouTube embeds; HTML5, Vimeo and other sources are unaffected (HTML5 uses the same theme list but without the YouTube default option, so seven themes are available for HTML5).

You can set a default theme globally and override per video on the product media form.
Where to set the theme
Section titled “Where to set the theme”Settings → System → System Config → Product videos → YouTube settings:
- Theme — picks the default theme for product detail pages
- Cover theme — the theme for cover videos in listings
Per video: open the product → Media → pick the video → Theme dropdown in the side panel.
Seeking behaviour
Section titled “Seeking behaviour”YouTube exposes a few additional behaviour controls:
- Poster on pause — show the poster image when the customer pauses the video (off by default — the player stays on the paused frame)
- First play with delay — delay the start of the first play (useful when autoplay is on and you want a moment of silence before the audio kicks in)
- Seeking behaviour — what happens visually when the customer scrubs to a new position:
blur— blur the player during seekblackBackground— go to a black frame during seeknothing— no visual change
